Here’s your Friday roundup!

  • This article will explain Why Reheated Coffee Tastes So Bad, And What To Do About It. He gives a solution that I’ve been using for quite some time – drink in a to-go cup at home!
  • My Mother’s Day Gift this year was perhaps my favorite so far – a lavender tree! My understanding is that it’s relatively easy to grow and loves full sun. Check out your local garden store to see if they carry any and read up on this Care and Growing Guide.
  • Speaking of plants and herbs, our mint is thriving is in our front yard garden bed. If you don’t grow herbs, you can still buy them fresh from the store. Here’s an article that tested the ways to make them last longer. We Tried 5 Methods for Storing Herbs and Found a Clear Winner
  • In the mood for a cookie? This week on the blog, I shared my Bakery-Style Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. They’re good! Go make them.
  • This week, a friend introduced me to a nostalgic recipe – The Bisquick Impossible Quiche. Apparently, it was THE quiche recipe to make in the 1960s because of, quite literally, how impossibly easy it was to make. Somehow you mix together a handful of ingredients and a crust and quiche magically form! I can vouch that it is delicious.
  • So I think I might try my hand at selling a few of my baked goods at my local farmer’s market (heads up St. Louis locals)! I’ve been scouting out all the beautiful farmer’s market inspiration on Pinterest and came across this article I found helpful all about learning how to sell baked goods at farmer’s markets.
  • I’ve been working on creating a stronger sourdough starter to make my loaves (I normally store mine in the fridge). This video by Fullproof Baking has been SO helpful.
  • My new favorite kitchen cleaning tool lately are these Scour Daddy Pads. Amazing!

Cheers to Friday, you lovelies!
